It emphasizes: Patient Empowerment, Respect for Values, Holistic Care, Collaboration, and Continuity of Care. Thus, person-centered care aims to provide compassionate, supportive, and effective healthcare that is tailored to the individual patient’s needs.” (3).
These beliefs are the foundation of our principles of service, and it serves a core value that guide the focus of caregiving for seniors being cared for in a family care home. The principles of service are hinged on the fact that we believe the patient/residents’ comfort matters.
